PPDS v4.1 Implemented
Over the weekend of 14/15 April we upgraded our Web Browser application to use the new version of the PPDS ThermoServer, v4.1. For the majority of users the changes will be invisible as most of the improvements are classed as ‘under the hood’. One visible change is that the International Association for the Properties of Water Substance (IAPWS) 1995 formulation for the representation of the thermodynamic properties of water has been added. The user now has the option of choosing between the IAPS84 and IAPWS95 special packages for the calculation of the properties of pure water. This new version also sees the introduction of the ‘PPDS System Pure’ databank. This databank is a result of merging the PPDS v3.x System Databank and the PPDS Partial Databank. Calculation wise, users can now choose the PC-SAFT equation for performing flash calculations. dajm
